ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL 2012 – 22, 23, 24 June

This year’s prestigious Isle of Wight Festival has an incredible line up, including headliners BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E STREET BAND, TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS and PEARLJAM.

With another sensational line up this will be an event to cherish for sure. Event Travel are delighted to offer that little alternative to the fun of camping (A Comfy Festival Option!) for those preferring a bed after a great day of music. We have a choice of 1, 2 or 3 night Ticket and Hotel stays in Southampton or Portsmouth with a quick ferry hop over to the Isle of Wight and back again to relax in proper bed!

This is the 14th Isle of  Wight Festival which has hosted over the years Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, ColdPlay, Neil Young, The Police in recent years amongst a wide range of diverse and talented bands and artists.

The 1970 IOW Festival was seen as the largest and most famous of the early festivals – it has been reported at the time to be one of the largest human gatherings in the world, with estimates of over 600,000, exceeding even the attendance at Woodstock. Included in the line-up of over50 live performers were The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, The Doors, Ten Years After, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Joni Mitchell, The Moody Blues, Melanie, Donovan, Free, Chicago, Richie Havens, John Sebastian, Leonard Cohen, Jethro Tull, Taste and Tiny Tim
